Ok, so he's actually called Gore Nesterov, but Goregasm is much more catchy! Caught yer eye, didn't it?? hahahah

Gore Nesterov, not only co-owner(the other being the lovely Sasha) of the SIM we are parked on, but he is co-owner of this fabulous club!!(with MEEEE, Kenzie, just in case you were in a coma for the last year and don't know already, ha!!).

He does a couple of shows at The Clock Tower each week. THE SOUNDS OF GORE is his DnB set which moves around a bit, but will now land on Friday evenings(GMT).

THE ROOTS is a break from drum n' bass on a tuesday evening(GMT)(we only allow a few of these so called "breaks"...hahah) where Gore plays whatever he wants and calls it whatever he wants and cracks us all up! Haha!

Gore is a skating fool, and no photo shoot with him would be complete without some attention being paid to his footwear.....yes folks, this boy skates everywhere, alllllllll the time! (Weirdo!)

But that just adds to his wacky charm!

So, i've decided to do little profiles on our Resident DJs here on our lovely blog......so you get to learn a lil' bit about them.....and i get to take snaps of them to practice my skills!

Topher is a truly foxy DJ with a wide variety of musical tunage at his fingertips altho we mainly know & love him for his DnB sets!

He can be found regularly at The Clock Tower, altho he has yet to nail down a specific time for his MEDIC show!!!!!!

The Clock Tower - New & Improved!

Mmmm.....stylish, compact, cosy & flat out sex-a-riffic! The Clock Tower has had it's overhaul and it is fantastic!

Built by our own awesomely talented Velmwend Pontipppppoppadom(frigging hard to spell - how many p's is it again??) Hehehe! It's fabulous!

Have you not visited us at our new location yet? You're missing out!! But just in case you have a darn good excuse, here are some snippets of the new look to feast your eye on........lots of comfy & cosy areas and a sleek look overall with some special nooks & crannies as well! Whats not to love?

Well done Velmwend, we love it!!!!! And, altho he's not taking custom builds on at the moment, he's an amazing builder and might eventually be able to do custom builds if asked nicely!!!!

Save Internet Radio!!

Well, this is a cause close to our hearts I hope as fans of one of Second Life's fun little clubs, and without Internet radio......it just wouldn't exist really...and DJ Kai's Brown Paper Bag wouldn't exist since he's from Reactor Radio.... an internet station....see it's all connected....so read on, and maybe even sign the petition if you feel so inclined......(this is copied/pasted from a notecard in world from Nicki Petrichor):

"On March 2, 2007, The CRB approved royalty rates that will bury any small webcaster, and create a heavy burden even for big broadcasters like Yahoo, AOL Music and Pandora. How high will these rates be? Around 100% of a small webcasters revenue, give or take a few points, in most cases. What?! That's impossible to pay! Yep, it sure is..

How did this happen? The RIAA told the CRB thats what they wanted, and the CRB just gave it to them.

Your're probably thinking, hey that's awful, but who are the the RIAA and CRB?

RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) is a lobbying group formed by the five largest record labels. They are embedded in Washington D.C. They make sure laws are written to keep them rich, no matter what. They made headlines a few years ago opening lawsuits against elderly people, single mothers and children for trading music online, even though some of them didn't even have computers. Check out the latest RIAA headlines.

The CRB (Copyright Royalty Board) is part of the US Copyright Office. The Board is charged with determining the royalty rates that would be determined by a willing buyer and a willing seller in a marketplace transaction. They decided to jack the rates beyond a broadcasters means despite decades of royalty rates being 1 - 2% of broadcaster revenue. Raise your right hand if you want to take away consumer choice, hurt working artists, damage small record labels and put small webcasters out of business."

Without the online radio stations, you can forget clubs in SL and you can forget finding the wide variety of choices of online music stream that you can find today. Now, we need your help to save our internet radio!

It's easy and just takes a couple of minutes, but please, do so, immediately without any delay, your help is invaluable for this.

1. International Go to http://www.petitiononline.com/SIR2007r/petition.html and sign it.

2. In the USGo to http://savenetradio.org and follow easy instructions to make your congressive representative aware of your stance.

Also:

* Get involved Go to http://www.boycott-riaa.com and follow the developments and find out how to support this cause further.

* Don't buy or stream RIAA music. Go to http://www.riaaradar.com/ and find out which artists, bands and albums that are RIAA music, before you buy and stream the music.

* Help spreading this as much as you can, the more that are aware, the more likely we are able to save internet radio and hence our clubs in SL.

MEDIC on Mondays with that foxy DJ Topher!!!

My camera has gone *kaboom*, and crashes me every time i try to take a pic, so i don't have a snap from the gig last night, but let me tell you it was fab and i'm sure all the other Pendulum Pushers and DJ Topher fanclub members can attest to that!!!!

Topher was on top form and even when we all got booted off SL(darn you Lindens!! *shakes fist at monitor*) the tunes still kept coming via winamp! Woooot!

Then we all flocked back to The Clock Tower for Topher to finish off his set.......a friggin LONG, AWESOME, THROBBING set!!!!

I think I'd give it two thumbs up.......what do you think Ebert?

This Thursday's Brown Paper Bag Fun!

Mmmm....can you smell it? That new club fragrance is still there......

The new & improved Clock Tower held it's first Brown Paper Bag with DJ Kai from Reactor Radio this week, and it was a blast!

There were some of the first ever Clock Tower "live" orgasms (at least ones that *i* am aware of, heheh) and some freaking good tunes as Kai would say in his sexy Dutch accent!

Always a good time had by everyone who swings by for BROWN PAPER BAG!! Thursdays @ The Clock Tower!

Home Sweet Home.....

The Clock Tower has a brand spankin' new home on Kokiri!!!

Thanks to Velmwend (a big wet *mwah* from all of us who bugged you), who is a fantastic builder, we have a snazzy new look on our spiffy new low-lag SIM!(shout outs to Sasha & Gore who own the lovely SIM!!!) Wooot!

Still the same great people, same great stmosphere, but far less lag and a super chic, new compact club with some new toys to test out!!! Come on over and chill out in our Mookah(no, it's not a typo!) lounge area, or cop a squat on our cosy couches for a spell of knitting(ask Sasha), or stick with what works and have a kick dance on the dance floor!

It's all good!!
